General Rules:
No person can own or manage more than one team
Removal of Ownership
Owners may leave the league voluntarily or they may be removed for cause by a majority three-fourths vote of owners
Cause for ownership removal includes:
Recurring failure to set lineups
Failure to pay league dues
Recurring violations of league rules
General inactivity (aka being a shitty league member)
Owners must be issued a warning that their ownership status is in jeopardy prior to removal
Replacing Owners
If an owner leaves the League, it is the Commissioner’s responsibility to find a replacement
If there is one team that needs to be filled, the Commissioner has to find a team to take over the vacant roster
However, if multiple teams need to be filled a Dispersal Draft will be held
All assets (players, draft picks) from the vacant teams would be forfeited and made available in a draft between the new owners
If a Dispersal Draft is held, other teams in the League have the option to forfeit their current rosters and participate in it as well
Dispersal Draft Rules (If Needed)
The Dispersal Draft will be held prior to the March 1 season roll-over
Assets will be drafted in a snake draft format
Draft order will be drawn at random
All available assets must be drafted
Teams that opt-into the Dispersal Draft will keep whatever Dead Cap their team has incurred
Contract lengths and Salaries for all players will be carried over to the drafting team
Players who are currently Holding Out are drafted at their pre-Holdout salary. The drafting team will have to decide whether to pay them the higher, Holdout salary, cut them (incurring any associated Dead Cap hits), or trade them to another team.
Teams may go over the Salary Cap during the dispersal draft. They will need to make moves to be under the Cap by the required period
The annually buy-in for the League is $100
Payment is due before Week 1 of the Regular Season
Rookie Pick Trading & Advance Payments
In order to trade away a 1st round Rookie Draft pick, the owner will be required to pay in the league dues for the year that pick is associated with
This is to avoid situations where owners go all-in to win and quit the league, leaving behind no long-term assets (it happens, trust me)
If a new owner takes over an orphaned team that has traded future 1st round picks, that owner won't have to pay for the seasons covered by the advance payments
The top 3 finishers each season will receive the following payouts:
League Champion: $600
Runner-Up: $240
Third Place: $100
Additionally, between weeks 1 and 14, the highest scoring team will earn $20
In the event of a tier for high score, the payout will be split
The payouts for high scores will be tallied and paid out at the end of the season
All prizes will be paid out the week after the League Championship
The League will consist of 12 teams (a vote regarding potential Divisions within the league will be held)
Regular Season
The Regular Season will be 14 games, followed by 3 Playoff rounds
The Regular Season schedule will be automatically generated by Sleeper once the Rookie Draft is complete
Standings
Regular Season Standings are determined by:
W-L Record
Total Points Scored
Head-to-Head Record
Total Points Against
Playoffs
The top 6 teams at the end of the Regular Season make the Playoffs
The top 2 seeds get BYEs for the first playoff round
After the first round, the remaining teams will be re-seeded with the #1 seed facing off against the lowest remaining seed
